1. Our Plans

Resume ATS offers the following subscription plans, all billed via Stripe:

All prices are in USD. Stripe handles all payment processing. By subscribing, you authorise Resume ATS to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel.


2. No-Refund Policy

All payments to Resume ATS are non-refundable. This applies to the Pilot ($9/mo) and Pro ($19/mo) plans.

When you subscribe, you receive immediate, full access to all features of your plan — AI rewrites, ATS X-Ray, Cover Letter Generator, Interview Prep, LinkedIn Optimizer, and all other premium features. Because the digital service is delivered instantly and in full at the moment of purchase, we are unable to offer refunds on payments already processed.

This no-refund policy applies to:

  • Monthly subscription charges (Pilot and Pro)
  • Any partial month of service
  • Situations where you forgot to cancel before the renewal date
  • Situations where you did not actively use the service during the billing period
  • Downgrades — e.g. switching from Pro to Pilot mid-cycle (the difference is not refunded)

By completing a purchase, you explicitly acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this no-refund policy.


3. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time, with no cancellation fee and no questions asked.

How to cancel — step by step:

  1. Log in at getresumeats.com/app
  2. Click your avatar or email in the top-right → Settings
  3. Scroll to Billing → click Manage Subscription
  4. In the Stripe billing portal, click Cancel plan
  5. Confirm — you will receive a cancellation confirmation email from Stripe immediately.

What happens after you cancel:

  • Your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period you have already paid for.
  • You will not be charged again.
  • At the end of the billing period, your account automatically reverts to the Free plan — you retain unlimited free scans permanently.
  • Your scan history, saved CVs, and account data are retained. Nothing is deleted on cancellation.

If you are unable to cancel through Settings for any reason, email founder@getresumeats.com and we will cancel your subscription on your behalf within 1 hour.


4. Free Plan — Try Before You Pay

Resume ATS offers a permanently free plan that requires no credit card. Before upgrading to a paid plan, you can:

  • Run unlimited ATS scans — paste any CV and any job description, get your score and verdict immediately
  • See your full 10-category breakdown with specific feedback on each area
  • Download and share your score card
  • Fully evaluate whether the product works for your situation

We strongly recommend using the free plan before purchasing. Because a free plan exists, we consider it your responsibility to evaluate the product before paying. We will not issue refunds on the basis of "I didn't know what I was buying" or "the product didn't meet my expectations."


5. Exceptions — When We Will Issue a Refund

We will issue a full or partial refund only in the following situations. These are the only exceptions to our no-refund policy:

  • Duplicate charge. You were charged more than once for the same billing period due to a technical error on our end. We will refund the duplicate charge(s) in full within 1 business day of verification.
  • Charge after confirmed cancellation. You cancelled your subscription through the Stripe portal and hold a Stripe confirmation email, but were charged again in a subsequent cycle. We will refund the erroneous charge(s) in full.
  • Unauthorised charge. A charge appeared on your payment method that you did not authorise and you have no active or recent subscription with us. We will investigate and refund if verified.
  • Service completely unavailable. Our platform experienced a verified, unplanned outage of 72 or more continuous hours during your paid billing period, entirely preventing you from accessing the service. We will issue a pro-rated refund calculated on a daily basis for the period of verified unavailability.

How to request an exception refund:

Include: your account email · the charge date · the charge amount · a brief description of the issue

Response time: within 1 hour (Mon–Fri, 9am–6pm UK) · within 12 hours (evenings/weekends)
Refund processing:if approved, 5–10 business days to appear on your original payment method (Stripe's timeline)

6. Chargebacks

If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card issuer before contacting us, we reserve the right to:

  • Suspend or terminate your account immediately upon receiving notice of the dispute
  • Provide your transaction records, this refund policy, and your usage logs to your bank or card issuer as evidence
  • Contest the chargeback where it does not fall within our stated exceptions

Please contact us at founder@getresumeats.com before initiating a chargeback. We can resolve legitimate billing issues within hours — significantly faster than the 30–90 day chargeback process.


7. EU / UK Consumer Rights

If you are a consumer located in the European Union or United Kingdom, you may ordinarily have a statutory right to cancel a purchase within 14 days (the "cooling-off period") under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) or the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

Waiver of cooling-off period: By completing your purchase and immediately accessing the service (AI rewrites, ATS X-Ray, and all premium features), you expressly request that performance begins immediately and acknowledge that you lose your right to withdraw once the service has been fully performed or once you have begun using the digital content.

This is consistent with Article 16(a) and 16(m) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive, which provide exceptions to the right of withdrawal for: (a) service contracts where the service has been fully performed with the consumer's prior express consent; and (m) digital content not supplied on a tangible medium where performance has begun with the consumer's prior express consent and acknowledgement that the right of withdrawal is thereby lost.

8. Price Changes

We reserve the right to change our subscription prices at any time. If we increase the price of your active plan, we will give you at least 30 days' advance notice via email before the new price takes effect on your account. Your subscription will continue at the existing price until the notice period expires. If you do not wish to continue at the new price, you may cancel before your next renewal date at no charge.


9. Governing Law

This Refund Policy is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence provide otherwise.


10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by email and by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
